RESTORATION

ABOUT

Guardian Villages is a regenerative community model being developed to support veterans and their families as they rebuild stability, connection and purpose—while also creating safe, meaningful relationships with rescued animals.

By repurposing underused properties as integrated communities, Guardian Villages aims to bring housing, wellness support, meaningful work, food security and community connection together in one place.

Healing begins with safety, structure and relationships that restore a sense of belonging.

WHAT SETS US APART

Phase One explores the adaptive reuse of vacant malls and other underused properties, building upon existing infrastructure to create an integrated community for housing, healing, meaningful work and connection.

Guardian Villages brings human recovery and animal welfare together within one community model.

Rescued animals are not accessories or afterthoughts. Through carefully designed partnerships with qualified animal-welfare and service providers, they may become companions and trusted partners in rebuilding routine, connection and purpose.

Through daily care, responsibility and relationship, both people and animals can regain trust, stability and a greater sense of belonging.

Nicole LeBlanc

Army Veteran | Retired Nurse | Founder, Guardian Villages

Nicole LeBlanc is an Army veteran and retired nurse with more than 25 years of healthcare experience, including emergency and critical care. Guardian Villages grew from her understanding that recovery cannot be separated into disconnected pieces—housing, physical and emotional wellness, meaningful work, food security and human connection must support one another.

Nicole is developing the first Guardian Villages model in Northeast Pennsylvania. The project is currently forming foundational partnerships, identifying potential sites and developing its Phase One strategy.

Organizations interested in veteran services, housing, community development, wellness, food security, employment or human-animal partnerships are invited to connect.
